(1,480 posts)I was a member of a rock band when they were prominent. I loved them.
Unfortunately, we never became famous.

(5,311 posts)...the drummer of Buffalo Springfield -- called Scott Thomas Lowe & Atascadero.
I own the drum kit that Dewey used to record "For What It's Worth" and all of the other songs Dewey recorded with Buffalo Springfield.
He also played with Patsy Cline, The Dillards, The Standells, etc, w/these drums - when he recorded.
Camco drums, Oaklawn (IL) badges, circa 1964, originally sold to Dewey by the Professional Drum Shop, Hollywood CA, which still exists. Also modified by the PDS by adding heavy-duty Pearl tom mounts.
I have used this drum kit throughout my musical endeavors over the last 40+ years.
Plus an electronic drum kit which I really like which sounds pretty real, but not as real as Dewey's Camcos.

(5,311 posts)...the first time I met Leonardo Di Caprio he was maybe 4 years old.
His father George DiCaprio was my friend who got me a job doing artwork for an underground comic book for Timothy Leary.
It was called Neuro Comics.
My son slept in the same cradle as Leo -- George handed down the cradle to me when my son was born in 1981.
