1. Love it, was just about to post this, voila!
If this performance doesn't get you moving, nothing will -

4. I heard or read an interview with Santana in recent years.
He said he was on a good dose of LSD during that concert and during Soul Sacrifice the neck of the guitar took on the living form of a snake he was wrestling with. Having been a frequent flyer myself in my younger days I can see that every time I watch that video.

5. Santana was barely known at the time
Carlos said they were scheduled for the next day, but because some of the first acts couldn't get to the venue due to the crowding, they were asked to go on with about 30 minutes notice on the first day, just as he was getting off on a hit of acid. I must say he handled it well; as another so-called 'frequent flyer' back in the day, I would have probably curled up behind a speaker and lost my shit.

even though it was early morning.

6. I'll said for years now....
… That this performance of Soul Sacrifice was 6 of the finest minutes ever recorded in the history of music. Now... I MAY be guilty of a bit of hyperbole but lol, I really don't think so. STILL listening to this 50 years later.

7. This was truly the best. First time I saw it (in a theater in early 70s) I was
completely blown away.

9. And Carlos is still going strong
Everything I’ve ever heard about him is that he is a thoroughly decent guy. Obviously a hell of a talent.
