1. His harmonies are not from this time and place

I know the phrase “most unique” is illogical. But for some reason it comes to mind. I think “unique” rarely about music. Frank Zappa. Tom Waits. This guy is “more unique.”

I get tired of listening to most musicians after binging. It can “grow old.” But this guy sounds “fresh” every time I hear him. I think that’s because his harmonies are so unusual, unique.

There is music. And then there is a separate category, Fagen.
