(11,794 posts)That was right up my alley! The vocal hook in the chorus is just so addictive. Like, boy band-catchy-whycan'tigetthisoutofmyhead addictive.
Who the fuck does the singer put me in mind of though? It's right at the end of my drunk, ya know? I'm hearing another band at specific moments in the tune, but I'll be damned if I can put my finger on it.

(11,794 posts)My horrible horrible, ridiculously paid job that I was ready to either quit or kill myself over has been revamped. As of 1/1/2020, I'm losing about a third of my responsibility. And I'm keeping the money! How sick is that. I'm actually going to have time on my hands! be careful of what you wish for sister. I ain't blown off any political stress in at least 8-9 months. I gots me some obnoxious ass screeds built up!
Well, at least you know you can rant here. It will be interesting to see what all that time to think up some righteous terminology will reveal!
Glad things worked out for you! I had a good and bad time at the farm but nothing got broken or destroyed. Made me want to not be around people for a spell. But the good news is that an old friend guitar man just moved to my town, he and the wife bought a house, so I told him I needed a band. He and his drummer want to jam sometime soon, that would be awesome because this guy is a really good player. We've been friends for twenty years and he's never heard me sing, we've always lived in different states, so we're gonna fix that pretty soon. I'm excited, just found out last week. I might have good blues/dance band. My buddy writes a lot of what he plays and has won several awards for some of his music and albums so I'm pretty excited.
So there. If you gotta rant, go for it, it's what we've been doing.

(11,794 posts)I haven't sung in years. Still got the soul and feel. But it's gonna take me months to get the chords back to full strength in order to be me if/when I pick up the mic again...
But I'm simcerely thrilled for you 2na! There's nothing like the thrill of musicians getting together for the first few weeks, feeling each other out, showing off to prove their chops. I'm not saying a seasoned band isn't better. But there's really something special about those first few jam sessions with new musicians if you click. Envious mama. Wish you the best!
