...to be in a movie soundtrack, as long as they are able to find the appropriate scene(s) in which to include it. They want me to send them the wav file so they can play around with it. The movie is described as "apocalyptic."
What I did not know, until I looked into the music production company closer, is that this is a Christian movie, and the "apocalypse" is probably an "end-times/return of jeebus" kind of thing.
We'd get a healthy several-thousands-of-dollars payout plus whatever results from having the song before a wider, albeit Christian, audience and the resultant publicity, for better or worse, that may follow.
Being a person of no religion, and not being a fan of "end times prophecies," I am somewhat reluctant to go through with the project, assuming they find the scene(s) for inclusion.
So far though, I'm leaning towards "let's do it" because I like the money thing, it's a great motivator.
What would YOU do?

(5,311 posts)...if I look at it like any other movie work-of-fiction, like for example any Marvel Cartoon Universe movie - I could just consider the "end-times/rapture/apocalypse" movie to be like any other fictional movie. It's not like this movie is based on reality.
Right?

If this company came back and asked for songs written specifically to push their POV then you can have a moral/philosophic dilemma
That's a good ass song BTW
