Music Appreciation
Related: About this forumSomething's been driving me crazy for years
I used to listen to KTRU (Rice University radio in Houston, Texas) back when I was in my mid twenties from 1982 to about 1986. It had a lot of cool alternative music some of which later became mainstream (REM, U2, Talking Heads).
During that time there are several songs that I remember part of the lyrics, sort of. One in particular had a line that mentioned "old colonials " saying something like "they should leave before they get what they deserve ". Anyone remember that song and who sang it. It's been bothering me for years. I remember hearing it around 1985 but it could have been released earlier. I think it might have been British.

I seem to remember a song similar to what you are talking about but cannot remember it off the top of my head either. Now, I want to know too.
