A fellow fan on DU? Wonders never cease! I did my first gig with Joe the drummer. And I was in a band with Todd the bassist. If I hadn't met my wife, I'd probably be in that band right now!

I met her and kinda lost touch with those guys for a number of years. Went to school. Got a job where I traveled during the week. Got laid off and wanted to get back to music. Heard about this great band called Steepwater. Walked into the bar with long hair, bell bottoms and a western shirt. Looked over at the stage and there were four dudes with long hair in bell bottoms and western shirts! I was like, "my people!" Then I started recognizing these guys (there was another/2nd Singer in the band at the time that I'd been tight with on the Chicago hair band scene) Blown away! After a number of years, we were all into the same shit. Whenever I go see em live, they call me up for a few tunes. Love those guys!

They played at my local (Cosmic Charlies) to a small but enthusiastic crowd. I spent a bit of time talking to Todd being a bassist myself.
Cool guys, great band.
I will go see them anytime they are here.
