1. Bing was the first to import good tequila

No kidding. Like other stars of his era he’d visit places like Juarez and Tijuana. He realized that tequila in Mexico was way different from what was exported to the states at the time. So he arranged to import Herradura tequila. He also was an early investor in Ampex, the company that perfected tape recorders. A genius at a lot of things
