I truly believe this girl can sing anything! At least to me. I love how she provides percussion at the end.

(24,393 posts)I was 18 in 1971.....I think it was the best year for music, ever. Or maybe I was just starting to listen to music that wasn't near the AM radio dial.

Up to that point I was listening to Jethro Tull and Yes.
Then I saw my first Asleep at the Wheel concert..... and Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, a bunch of local Austin bands.
This was before 6th Street was a thing, Austin wasn't crowded and Armadillo World Headquarters was going strong.
It was really a magical time.

The "Band" were folks like Dylan, Dr. John, "Fathead" Newman, Flaco Jimenez, Bromberg and Kenny Kosek.
Live from Deep in the Heart of Texas by Commander Cody
I was lucky enough to see that concert when it was recorded at the Armadillo. Listening to it puts me right back there.
Interestingly, I saw The Who's Quadrophenia concert a few days later.
