One of my greatest influences hands down. Best rock n roll singer evah! In my less than humble opinion anyway.....

...but when this song was released, it was my last year of high school. We used to play this song all the time, because we couldn't wait to get out of that school!

Ah, how little we knew that those were the easiest days of our lives!

But, that sentiment hadn't changed.... Couldn't wait to be released. Man I'd love to be back in high school right about now... 'Specially if I could keep what I know now!

I think "Smokin'" was released in '72. "Smokin'" was certainly an appropriate name for the album, because it just plain cooked!

I didn't know the Music Appreciation Group existed 'til I saw your posts, so thanks for introducing it to me.

But they lacked the one element needed to make it worthy of covering. Mainly, Steve Marriott's voice.

Steve and Janis. I don't think either one of them ever hit a bad note when singing. So gifted.

And I couldn't agree more about Steve & Janis. Steve's my favorite!
