2. I met Dave Peverett a couple years before he died. The came to town to play a show at

a small nightclub. Dave was on the local rock station doing a promo, and said he'd be out for a walk on the levy system bike path where I rode all the time. I went down there and sure enough, he was walking along with a few fans. Nice guy.

They played a great show, and proved the venue was not one with necessarily crappy sound as was generally accepted. Their sound guy had them dialed in sweet! But they probably had a real pro compared to some of the washed up acts we got there. They were playing some way bigger gigs elsewhere, and especially in England and Europe. They had a pretty good little comeback going.
