Drummer & bandleader Gene Krupa was #BornOnThisDay, Jan. 15, 1909. His drum solo on "Sing, Sing, Sing" (1937) & an energetic style elevated his role to a solo voice in the band. Suffering from leukemia & emphysema, he passed in 1973 (age 64) from #heartfailure. #RIP #GoneTooSoon
