Justin Hayward - Forever Autumn (Kenny Everett Video Show, July 1978)

And if the background reminds you of Bowie's "Ashes To Ashes" video - same director. David Mallet directed that Bowie video two years after he produced this episode of Kenny Everett's show.

It's a great song, IMO as good as any he did with the Moodies. highplainsdem Sep 2022 #7

I took my wife to a dentist in another town today. One of the rock stations was playing an hour, commercial free.
One of the last songs was a Justin Hayward song. I forget the title.
But, 2 Hayward references in a span of 5 hours! Weird.

listening to a classic rock station and they mentioned Justin when playing a song, my best guess is that it would have been what I remember as the most-played single from the Blue Jays album he made with John Lodge in 1975. Unless they were just playing one of the many Moody Blues songs Justin wrote and took the lead vocal on.

Article on that new song, with the YouTube video of the song included: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/justin-hayward-new-song-living-for-love

"I Dreamed Last Night," my favorite track from Blue Jays:

He and John Lodge together did sound very much like the classic late-'60s / early-'70s Moodies. And most of the Moodies fans I've known focused on Justin and John.

Not sure what happened that Justin will no longer record or tour with John, but John's said in recent interviews that it was Justin's decision.
