I first heard this at ~ 5 years old on Disney's Fantasia (the original version, split into multiple VCR tapes ). The Disney animation for this was absolutely spectacular, but even better was the music.

is the majestic "The Great Gates of Kiev" in "Pictures at an Exhibition".
It's a shame that he isn't held in wide regard as some of the other Russian composers.

This is one of the pieces I used to turn my kids on to classical music. This and Holst's "The Planets" suite got a lot of airplay in our house.
