Grew up within a fundamentalist biblical cult. Dancing was not allowed unless one was married.

My folks would on occasion dance in the living room to Glenn Miller and his orchestra, and time after time we watched him bring in the New Year.

An amazing musician that will be enjoyed by many forevermore!

His favorite was Goodman, but that was because of Krupa.
But, Glenn was high on his list, too!
He listened to more cool jazz after the 40s ended but when he was a teenager he loved big bands.
