Oh, man.

I'll always miss JB and wish the world could've seen where he ended up, which I imagine would've been amazing. Such prodigious talent, just a flat out musical stud ... and gone way, way too soon in a random tragic accident.

I bought Grace before he passed, and it's been part my life ever since.

the day he played at the 9:30 here in DC. In 1995 my life revolved around going to see live music and I spent a lot of time at the 9:30 (the loop bands took was Trax in Charlottesville, Flood Zone in Richmond, the 9:30… it was a frequent trip for my crew) BUT I MISSED IT! Jeff wasn’t on my radar until 98 or 99 and by then it was too late.

He was a unique, singular, talent. One who was gifted beyond belief.

Yeah. 3:45 is insane. So is that note he hits at the very end. Just sitting in a radio studio, do an interview and play us a song, no big deal. Can you imagine?? WHFS was the best and also deeply missed.
