Love in vain I had to join in. And a comment from my mother in law

Last edited Sun Jun 4, 2017, 08:30 AM - Edit history (1)

It was too tempting sitting on porch listening to my son jam love in vain in front room I could not resist . I had to put down my coffee and join in , my wife came down stairs from bed and she smiled. she said I heard the song and our son on guitar enjoying listening to him as she lay in bed. I figured you were on back porch having coffee. Then I heard you and then gimmie shelter opening up and young man joining in. This makes me smile because my mother in law is up now and she had to mention to my wife, the constant replaying of a song over and over is annoying. my wife downloads are favorites on lap top I said album earlier just a slip from being 51.out of respect we were using 1watt tube black stars , I said to my mother in law how else can you learn if you do not study and listen to a song over and over you have to get it wright. Her reply was at 7 am on Sunday morning I smiled and said he has been jamming since 6 am she laughed and said I must been sleeping soundly. Then I said to her you were 29 in 72 you would have probably been awake at 6 am. I am thinking for are son I'm gonna dig in my gear boxes to see if I can find what were they called corcidin bottles ,I used to use as kid for slide guitar instead of him having to wrap paper towel or Kleenex so slide will fit his finger.

That's my favorite version. You were talking about your son learning slide and I thought you/he might appreciate it.

The harmonies coming out of the chorus keep it moving like a freight train! I'm betting his band would dig doing this version!
