Austin, TX skyline.

OMD EM1 mkii, 12-100 f4 at 12mm

EXIF: ISO 200, 2 seconds, f4
HDR @ 5 exposures hand held.

I have no editing capabilities on the road and very limited time so this is straight out of the camera full size file. Apologies to those with slow connections.

You have outdone yourself! And hand held, no less!

It's a skyline that befits the capitol of Texas.

I had a chance to really stretch. The IS is incredible! I hand held some HDR and some single frame at 4 seconds! Not bad but you have to take into consideration that a few Margaritas steady the nerves Sometimes I get so steady I can't move at all

3. Sounds good! I'll have to remember the Margaritas to help steady my hands!

Tho Austin is a very blue and inclusive spot in an otherwise red (neck) state. It's the state Capital so all the (jerrymandered) idiots are imported from rural areas.

6. Do I remember correctly that Austin was one of the places that lit up blue and yellow after Russia

invaded Ukraine?

I lived in Houston for a time, and it was always a relief to go to Austin.

Than before. I could hand hold, no bracing or anything, for 4 seconds! Stacking 5 HDR exposures at those long exposure times!

10. Did you take this in the park across from the city?

Know very little about the technical side of photography, I admit it. But this photo captures what I remember as a magical night when Beto held a rally in Austin, across the river in a park. It was like a rock star was coming, just waiting for him. Young and old all happy and excited, all together.

And one of the best parts was glancing over and seeing the beautiful city skyline.

Thank you and bravo!

I was on the third floor balcony of the Hyatt located on the south side of the river between the 1st bridge and the Congress Ave bridge. There is a park along that side of the river and I was near the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue.

12. I looked at the map and it had to be a park that was very close to where you shot

But don't recognize the name of the park.
I know I am mixing politics with photography....

For the politics part, sadly Beto is very behind scumbag Abbott (May 2022): much worse than run against Cruz in 2019

AUSTIN — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott still leads Democrat Beto O’Rourke by 7 percentage points, 46-39, in this year’s race, according to a Dallas Morning News-University of Texas at Tyler poll released Sunday.

As for the photography part, job well done for being so brilliant at it!
