Manhattan Beach Farmer's Market Photos!

I'm heading back out for a poetry reading (Tuesdays are busy!) so I won't be here to answer your comments until later...about 3 hours from now! I will reconnect after that time. Thanks in advance!

After seeing this I can hardly wait. The photographs are beautiful. I cannot get over the detail in the mushrooms.

Thanks for this spring treat!

3. Those are superb, Peggy!

I love the mushrooms especially! And the boxes of berries have a sort of neat rhythm to the image.

May I ask what the first and the third one are?

10. Ah, thank you for your lovely comments, my dear Diamond_Dog!

The mushrooms really are so exotic. I am afraid that I have no idea what the first and third ones are.

Maybe someone will comment who does know.

I also loved the diagonal organization to the berries.

12. Thanks so much, my dear callalily!

The mushrooms are truly exotic to my eyes.

The weather here in CA allows us the luxury of year-round farmer's markets. We ARE spoiled!

You're really putting that new Olympus to good use. It's hard to pick a favorite, but those mushrooms are really cool!

17. Wow the Oyster and Lions Mane mushrooms are making me hungry 😋. We don't usually

see variety like that here in Wisconsin. But we do have the elusive Morels! Yum! Love the photographs, you can almost feel the textures 😊

18. Aw, thanks for your lovely comments, my dear Ziggysmom!

So you recognize three of these! That's great. I don't know them at all.

Could you kindly tell me which ones are the Oyster, the Morel and Lion's Mane? I've been wondering!

Thanks!

19. Hi CA Peggy 😊. From the photos as far as I can tell, the top pic looks like Oyster to me.

The 2nd pic looks like Lions Mane and the 3rd appears to be Chanterelle. The Morel I mentioned is what I usually pick here in Wisconsin. They have a more Truffel like flavor and are obscenely expensive, around 25-30 dollars per pound. I started picking them with my grandfather in the 1960s and it's a spring ritual we look forward to. Here's a video of some Morel picking fun 😋

20. Just want to say

Nice "as is" composition, and colors. I won't get technical, and that's hard for me to pass on!

Mule ear daisies are just now opening, hundreds of them, and i'll share some. Macro is a delight. That's how I started, and never stopped.
