6. Fantastic photos!

There's several osprey nests in a swamp area that we paddle! So nice to see them soar!

14. As a guy who shoots BIF (Birds In Flight) that is IMPRESSIVE.

I did some pixel peeping and the out-of-the-camera had to good 'cause there aren't any artifacts from Post that I can find.

Post can improve but not save an image and my admiration for your skills is way up there!

16. Thanks Andy, I value your opinion.

Thanks for the compliment.

I was shooting with my R5 and my RF 100-500.

Here is what really happened. Conditions were really terrible. The sky was gray and dingy, with little or no color, and it was late in the day. The light was beginning to dim. I had my shutter at 1/2000th and the F/stop was probably f/8. I was shooting manual, and adjusting the exposure with the ISO, which got pretty high.

Honestly, the original files weren't great. They were noisy, and not super sharp after I cropped them. I didn't want to do this, but I ran them through Topaz SharpenAI. Some of them I used NoiseAI instead. I also tried to add some blue back into the sky just because the gray looked so drab. I promised myself that I would go back again on a prettier day.

FYI, I just ordered a new Canon EOS R7 for my wife. It's a crop sensor beast, 32mb, 15-30 fps, dual sd slots, and the same processor and focus system as the R3. It should be great.

Thanks again,

Grumpy
