2. That looks like what I remember of Glacier Bay
If so, the ice has receded a LOT since 7 years ago.

8. Looks that way. What a tragedy! Here's what it looked like when I was there in 2015:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That is a LOT of ice gone for just 7 years!! Keep in mind that the ice we could SEE was 80 feet tall, but there was three times that much under the water that we couldn't see. The enormity of it all is just staggering to behold. |

12. Beaitiful images!
They are melting at an alarming rate.
We were at Tracy Arm near Juneau in 2007. There were a lot more small icebergs in the water as well back then. |

13. We were at a place near Juneau, too, but I forget its name. Does this look like Tracy Arm?

16. Nope, that is not Tracy Arm.
That is Nugget Falls and the Mendenhall Glacier just outside Juneau. Tracy Arm is a fjord about forty three miles south of Juneau, only accessible by boat. They are both beautiful. Mendenhall Glacier was really socked in with rain and fog when we were there last week, but I managed to salvage a few shots. I'll be posting them soon.

19. Mendenhall! That's it
I never would have remembered the name if you hadn’t reminded me.
