** Poll for December Contest Theme** PLEASE VOTE TO SELECT THE NEXT CONTEST THEME!

Last edited Thu Nov 29, 2012, 02:43 AM - Edit history (2)

Here are a few of the ideas for the December photo contest. I've pinned it until the poll time period is expired. It would be nice to get more votes on the topics.

This poll will run for 72 hours. These ideas came from DPReview.com a great resource for photographers.

I'll post the submission thread after the Poll is closed.

Thanks!

PuppyBismark

I don't know why I voted for the first choice - we don't even have puddles around here.

There are too many windows, chrome bumpers, mirrors and other shiny things to make reflections with.

That should make the category broader.

Used to be we had 5-10 days to get the shot before submission time. A theme was chosen, a date for submissions was set, and people had a few days to go out and get their shot. I know it is up to the host but I would love a few days after the theme has been decided upon to get a shot.

This is my first time to host a contest and I only started watching this Group a while ago. I will post the theme and some ideas with a date for the entry to start.

I'm hoping this rain we are supposed to be getting will provide some reflections. If not I've got a couple of other ideas.

I want to congratulate you on your win - a rare thing here to come in for a first submission and walk away with the top honor.
You will do fine, though I remember running my first contest was a nightmare in worries.
(and my second... etc.)

Of course you will ask if you have questions, and I look forward to seeing the submissions. Last year sometime we agreed on AT LEAST a full free week plus a weekend to go shooting between theme decision and the start of the submission thread.
Will hope it rains, or that I have some worthwhile things in my files.
