Who knew woodpeckers liked palm seeds
So I'm watching this woodpecker flit around in one of the Christmas palms in the front yard. I'm thinking to myself, "I wonder what kind of insects it's after?"
It turned out that it was actually grabbing a seed, taking it over to a different palm and then eating the fleshy, pulpy exterior.
