Looking forward to your entry, so I hope you get everything back up soon too.

(28,462 posts)Lookin' good so far! I personally love the sad tale of the lost ice cream. Tragic, indeed!
Will someone who knows more about photo dimensions look at my submission and tell me if it's too big? I think it's okay but photobucket is doing this new layout and some of their pages are buggy for me. Not sure if what it says it is is what it is! Thanks!
Solly Mack

(46,436 posts)for my shot. I just couldn't find anything interesting enough in my travels, other than the tampon (which I would die before I would post in a contest) and some lost gloves. My photo is from the Gulf Coast a year and a half after Katrina.
Solly Mack
(90,762 posts)Sad. A year and a half later... debris and junk still in the trees.
SouthernDonkey
(256 posts)Good photo Blue! Mine is actually from my archive as well, when I was in Alaska a few years ago! That's kind of ironic, mine from there and your's from down here.
Solly...there's is still a lot left to do on the Gulf Coast even after all these years! Katrina was devastating.

(28,462 posts)I almost posted similar old car photos from Santa Fe!
At first I thought it was the same car, but yours is leaning up against barbed wire so I guess not. Still, same color and similarly graffitied

(8,752 posts)Looks like the fence was moved or put in after you took that. Too funny.
What's really funny is that I almost entered this view instead.
Good eye, intheflow!
SouthernDonkey
(256 posts)That's wild!
edited to add: Yes it is the same one! See the rock in front of the left front tire in both shots as well.
That is just such an amazing coincidence! Really cool!

(28,462 posts)That's a nice little park. My dog and I had a wonderful time romping through there. I can see why they'd have added the wire, though. I'll bet kids were climbing all over those vehicles and the city feared a law suit.

Nice image, BTW.
