...come home from work yesterday and the box was here... no time to play last night with homework and all. Just started playing with it this morning and took a shot of my coffee mug with both the new Olympus and my Canon PowerShot (same settings) untouched... still have lots of playing to do to make sure I'm happy but so far...

(17,086 posts)It should hold up to hiking abuse well. I'm very jealous of your trip. I have done the northern 200 miles or so of the AT in three different trips when I was in my 20's. I always wanted to thru hike the whole thing, but life, etc... Post a few pics when you have a chance!

my partner (think we might get married before I leave ??... he doesn't mind a bald woman) is my support person and he will be mailing boxes to me every 10-14 days... have extra batteries and SD cards. I will be sending cards back periodically and I will have him post a few on DU
