How did you fare with our heat spell? Nice to have things cooled down for a few days.

99 degrees with three fans going and windows open down to 64 degrees and cold wind, frantically closing windows and turning on heater. Then, we get an outrageous thunder and lightning show in the fog but no rain that goes on for hours. Then it rains. Frantically put out my client's pool cover pump. Still have the heater on. I'm exhausted. Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.

Cooler temps through the weekend, is what KCBS was reporting.

It was 105* here last week, and I was in the middle of pouring a set of concrete steps, walls, and planter box. Here are a couple shots of the finished product:

I had to keep it all covered with soaking wet towels, and keep 'em soaked, to have any hope of getting a decent cure in that heat.

Years ago I helped build a couple of houses about 4 miles from Angwin. One day it hit 116* out on the sub-floor where we were framing. It gets plenty hot up there.

Hildie is my little buddy. She often lays across the back of my neck when I'm on the computer.
