Love the iridescence you have captured on the hummingbird. WTF is a Giant Robber Fly! Wow pretty but I hope it doesn't bite D:

the very type of hummingbird in my photos - the ruby-throated hummingbird. They're also called "assassin flies" because they are so aggressive. They will kill and eat other insects as well.

Thanks!

I'm speaking truth when I say that a year or two ago I had the belief that nobody other than the owners of thousands of dollar cameras, pros like our Maestro who no longer posts, who spend large segments of their lives hidden behind cloaks, in trees, ever was able to photograph a hummer.

I have been proven so wrong. Muchly by you, but also others.
Every time I see one of these wonderful photos of yours this belief still raises up in my mind and says: "How could that be?"

I once spent about an hour at a feeder, and tried. Even got a shot worth having. That's when my belief began to crumble. But it is you who has destroyed it.
