Around here if one leaves one's boat in the water over the winter, one may find it squashed by ice.

... stationed at Andrews. The old house had no insulation and the wind blew hard enough to create whitecaps in the kitchen sink. It was cold.

but NOT the kitchen sink! Its 14 degrees there now, so I'm glad I'm elsewhere!
