Related: About this forumA few from this weekend
Spent a lot of time in rural areas this weekend... looking into people's lives long after they're gone. It's kinda odd and invasive going through old abandoned homes and farms, like you've dropped in unannounced to visit and no one is home.
Anyway, you find some weird stuff in abandoned homes.
Like this house, covered in gallon water jugs and 2 liter Pepsi bottles.
Winter coats...
Prescription medicine and a tooth brush
These weren't the first set of dentures (tops only) I found this weekend
A brain CT Scan of a 7 yr old
Some "atmosphere" from the area I was in:
So, yeah, I find some of the stuff people leave behind a bit weird. The dentures and medicine I can understand, someone maybe died and no one cleaned out the house. The CT Scan, not so much.

(14,040 posts)and the cemetery is much older than the plant. It does have some newer graves but most date back to the 1800's.

(18,219 posts)Great photos, but it is really sad. The first one looks like a hoarder lived there and no one wanted to tackle the cleanup.
And the cemetery with that horrible cement plant right there.....disgusting. Just throw me in the ocean so that never happens to me!!! Usually, I love old cemeteries.

(14,040 posts)or if a squatter came in and did that after the fact. The basement was fairly "clean" but not the upstairs and I think you can make out a make-shift bed in that photo.
