Cordless

And not in a good way. I went to upload some pictures and the cord that connects my camera to the computer has vanished. I went to the store and was unsuccessful finding a replacement. Not happy because, even though the camera is older and nowhere near top of the line, I can't afford to replace it at present. Any suggestions?

Kodak Easyshare C813

Thanks in advance!

I'm sick of cords, charging cords and data cords.

My last three general purpose cameras use AA batteries, available anywhere.

I don't miss special batteries and chargers.

WiFi is next!

Why don't you just remove the memory card from the camera and put it into your computer.
If your computer does not have the multi-card reader capability, you can get a USB that will do it.

Will be looking into this for sure.

I have no idea, however, why you thought I'd be insulted . . .

I've gotten "I KNOW THAT!" before and it's like... YIKES!
I have several of those thingies. They come in very handy!

Check your manual for a part number or description. Failing that, call them and describe what you need. They've supplied me with all sorts of weird connections.

Maybe it's because of the holiday, so far I haven't located one in any of the stores around here. If I decide to take you up on your very kind offer, I'll PM you. Again, thanks!

on my old computer i used a $20 card reader. I took the card out of the computer and plugged it into the reader. Much Much faster than plugging the camera into the computer plus its easier to find a card reader than a cord that looks the same as a million other cords.
my new computer has a built in card reader

this one is usb 3.0

this one is usb 2.0

Ye gods, who knew that something so simple could be so time consuming?! I did find a cord on line, and AFTER I'd paid for it they told me I'd have it in about two weeks. I'll just have to wait and see if it works; if it doesn't, I'll look into a card reader.

Thanks for asking!

If not, let me know. The offer still stands. I will say that a card reader is easier to use, IMO.

Surprised the heck out of me to find the new cord in my mailbox today! Bulkier than the one I lost, but it works.

Here's one of the pics I was most wanting to upload: shows Sen. Mark Udall and his wife, Maggie, bracketing some crazy lady who claims to have "found" him where he was allegedly hiding from Obama during the Prez's visit to Colorado.

Again, my thanks!
