An update on my YouPic account.

Remember three weeks ago I posted about the Iranian girl that had contacted me about joining the photo website YouPic? This has turned out to be the coolest site ever. I've posted 86 photos and now have 112 photographer "fans" worldwide. My pictures have been chosen as "favorite" 1168 times and have been shared with other people's fans 758 times. This is some pretty nice validation for me since these people aren't my friends like you guys are.

I've been posting two or three of my favorite shots every night, and then when I get up in the morning there's all this great feedback from people on the other side of the world.

There's something about the ancient Roman architecture that gives those photos a real timeless quality.

I would sell my soul to be able to take photos like this. He even caught a meteor!

This site reminds me of the Flicker account my nephew has. He moved to Vietnam last fall to teach English to the locals, and has posted some amazing photos.

I looked for Blue_In_AK and could not find your photos. What name are you using?

That shot is a little less gruesome than some of the others I had of that bird. He was a bloody mess. The symbol of America, cleaning up road kill. Lol.

or any capital letters. It should work with linda.scates1. I don't have any tags or anything, but my user name should show up on the left when you do the search.

14. Fabulous site! Looks like it's part of Facebook.

I opened an account under my own username, but am having a devil of a time getting any pictures over there. Oh well. I'll figure it out eventually.

I totally agree with you. YouPic is the best photography website. It is so much different and yet gives you photography tips, inspiration and validation. I really became a better photographerand human!
