I love the variety of sunrises at the beach--even on the same morning

This morning it was all about the color in the sky before the sun even came up.

When the lights on the pier were still on (about 30 minutes before sunrise)

Really.

It never lasts. The sky has almost completely clouded over now. Blah ocean...blah sky.
Guess it must be time to watch some football!

I was up before dawn, grabbed camera and tripod, sat on the deck and snapped away. We were right on the beach it was perfect.

Probably kept 100, maybe a few more.

I would shoot from first light until sun cleared the horizon.

This morning there were porpoises playing in the waves by the pier--riding them in--swimming back out
and riding them in again.

I can't believe the politicians think drilling off the coast is a good idea. It's so past time to stop
ruining the environment to get every last drop of oil out of the earth.
