husband got me a scanner for christmas

i took all of these during my grand adventure during the summer of 02 with a little olympus that is lost to the ages. all that i need to say about this trip is that it changed my life. hate that the dates are in the corner for aesthetic reasons but they do help keep the dates straight. hey, my 21st birthday lasted two months, what do you expect from me?

sunset in amsterdam

edinburgh castle

loch ness

urquhart castle

and then this happened

there will be more to come at some point.

great pics, and great memories! We did Loch Ness too, stayed in Inverness, where my daughter, who now is mother of 1 2 year old boy and 1 3 month old girl) put a vitamin c tablet in her nose!!! The things we remember! And we passed urquhart castle too.

I've had so much fun scanning my film photos, plus family photos of members long dead.......back into the 1800's!

Have a blast!

I am looking forward to seeing your pictures!

It can scan small objects that are relatively flat. It also does non-flat objects, but the focus falls off pretty quickly.

I use mine for "Throwback Thursdays," all the funny pictures of my grown girls when they were silly kids.

A neat color separator's trick you might want to try: open a file in Photoshop and use the Curves command. If you have a fairly recent version, you'll see a kinda gray lump with a diagonal line going from upper right to lower left corners. Whichever end of the lump is farthest from the edge of the "lump-area," grab the control point at that end and drag it toward the lump...which gives you...
