Spring and Squirrels

In all the years (and I'm 66) I've been watching squirrels I've never seen two of them together grooming, or resting, or getting along together, or...

I happened to look out my study window and saw one squirrel on the wood pile, joined by another squirrel! What? Grabbed the camera.

Grooming

Soaking up the sun together

Enough sunbathing

Foreplay!

lolol

I got a shot of eurasian collared doves peacefully having a moment. It was one of the most polite joinings I have ever seen "in the wild'.

I looked out the window to see the one squirrel sunning itself on the wood pile.
The second squirrel poked its head up above the wood pile, as if to inquire, is it ok for me to join you?
And very slowly climbed up on the wood pile. Then there was a lot of grooming. They settled for the sunbathing.
(I was running back and forth between windows in the house trying to get good shots). Then they changed direction.
A little sniffing. Then it was time for the wrasslin'...and I couldn't get a shot. I honestly burst out laughing when they fell off the wood pile.
