Well, I have decided to try out a new photo hosting site: Postimage.org.

It seems to be simple enough. I drag and drop the photo onto the site.

The only problem I was having was after uploading a photo, that photo was the only one I could see. Any previous uploads had disappeared, and I had no idea how to find them.

Just now, I clicked on that first image, and behold, there were the rest of the images! All neatly displayed in a row.

There has to be another way to find them. This works for now, since I only have a few images on board.

Also, I wanted to group them into albums. Do you name the album first and then load the photos into them, or ???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

or album, when you sign in to your account.

I just created an account. I had always used the service anonymously (no account) for posting images to DU.

and called it DU contest photos. Uploaded both the photos I've submitted for this contest and created new links to use when entering my photos.

Looks like you can create a new gallery--naming it whatever you want--and it will hold the photos you upload to it. All looks pretty simple.

I may go back through the contests over the last couple of years and upload the photos I entered (all linked on photobucket) before my photobucket
account no longer allows third party hosting when my paid subscription expires (end of October, I think). I would like to have a record of the photos I've entered.

Named it DU contest photos and then clicked the empty space and it brought up the screen where you choose the photos to upload.

I wish they had a feature like Photobucket where you could see all the photos at once. I liked that.

I've made two galleries:

DU contest photos and Pet photos

underneath it shows 2 for DU contest photos. If you click the photo, it opens the gallery and then shows you all photos in the gallery.
If you want to create a new album, write in the name in the gray space where it says Gallery name and then click create a new gallery.
It brings up the upload screen for you to choose the photos.

It really is fairly intuitive...and I'm a click to try it computer person. I have no idea what I'm doing, but just feel my way.

I am not intuitive around computers, at all! When I first joined Photobucket, I found it so difficult that I asked NVWhino to call me so she could tell me step by step how to do it!

Then I was OK.
