I wonder where her partner is. They usually mate for life and if they lose their partner, often don't find another.

Doves are ground feeders, mostly, so for Doves I spread seed on the ground.
But I do have a few that hit my elevated feeder.

we have no elevated feeders. This way all can eat, squirrels, doves, jays, grackles, crows (we put out leftovers for them), etc.
