I'm working through mid-July on various productions in wonderful Aix-en-Provence. Haven't taken any shots that I'm really proud of, but I hope you like a few of these.

(7,390 posts)but I like the way it turned out, with the woman blithely passing by, talking on her cell phone.
Thanks, NVW!

(22,380 posts)though the US of A has wonderful sites to celebrate, what you're showing here is old and different, I love the first one - the door is spectacular, in the next two the feel is so French that I think Jean Gabin the old actor will walk into either one of them carrying pails of water. In the street scene I think George Carlin decided to haunt Europe in a new incarnation for a while, and I think it is one of your most memorable photos ever. Wheat fields hold childhood memories for me that I don't need to ponder, so that one I can do without.
But it brings me ever so much faster to the photoshop fun one that proves you are really involved and there, and the outdoor happenings in the last one make me think I'm looking at a contemporary set of an opera before they all break into a chorus.
Verdi. Maybe.

(7,390 posts)Things are intensifying here, as the opening of the Charpentier nears. Tonight is the pre-dress rehearsal, and tomorrow we start rehearsals for another one of the productions. I won't be having many more days off.

I liked the wheat field too. I clipped some of the wheat and brought it back to my hotel. Have it in a vase on my table.
