I've always been an early riser and I love it when I'm rewarded with a gorgeous sunrise. Moved here at the end of March and have seen quite a few beautiful sunrises in the last couple of months, but the one this morning was really spectacular.

Nothing better than waking up to a sunrise like this, leaves you energized for the rest of the day!

I think my favorite shot in the group is the reflection on the office building. I've been taking sunrise shots here now for a couple of months and I had never noticed this much reflection. The sun is, of course, almost at its most northern point, which could explain not noticing this degree of reflection from some other brilliant morning sunrises. There also was a lot more pink in the sky-- in what is a northwest view--than in previous colorful sunrises.

Who knew that when you reluctantly gave up living at the ocean that you would find such wonders being up high and all without water. These just keep astounding me! But how, I ask, can you consistently be up at sunrise? I have not seen one in sooooo long.
Beautiful photo opportunities, maybe that's what gets you out of bed.

Most mornings I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee before 5 am, although last night I was up until 1am and didn't get my 1st cup of coffee until 6 am when the sun had just risen!

Indeed, there have been some lovely sunrises as well as beautiful clouds during the day. I do miss all the colors and moods of the ocean but am happy to have the view that I do.
