I used to live right at the foot of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. On a really hot day we would often drive up to the top of the mountain where there was a little coffee shop than mainly did it business during ski season, but the temp drop from the bottom to the top could be 20 degrees or more.
Mt. Lemmon also runs the the southernmost ski resort in the US.
