Panoramas from January and February 2019, different as can be and beautiful in their own way.

Near Winthrop Washington, USA -- we cross-country skied 16 miles on this day. No sunshine, but it made for beautiful, mysterious scenery. This is the Goat Wall:

And nice framing. I think that second one is especially nice on both counts.

First one my fingers were still cold as we had not skied long enough to completely warm up, and I was just going to snap a quick shot of the Goat Wall. But then it wouldn't fit in at the shortest focal length, so I just shot the panorama thinking "eh, might be ok...". So glad I took the time on this one.

Second one I was just shooting single shots while we were watching the sunset, and it dawned on me I should try for the panorama. It was tricky because there was a beach sign on the left, and I had to move towards the beach to get it out of view, but too far towards the beach and I'd have lost the top of the solitary palm in the foreground. Fortunately the wave action was small enough to make the stitching work out fine. And the light was just as amazing in person as you see in the photo. I hope the recent windstorm didn't do much damage on the south shore. It's a lovely place.
