It's cooler today so I ventured out to the Arboretum.

4. Picture two make me nostalgic

for the rolling hills of the Arnold Arboretum, near Boston where I grew up. It's the oldest public arboretum in North America and I didn't go often enough when I lived there. Now I live in Florida, where the new 'arboretum' in my tiny city consists of a collection of maybe 20 palms placed along a park path, none taller than 10 feet. Oh well, at least they're trying.

6. This arboretum was modest at the beginning, but now it has grown to the point where it has

become the official state arboretum. It has a good collection of native plants. My brother in law is a master gardener and volunteer at the site.

8. I love the architecture of plants.

I am going to shoot a few rolls of black and white film. This time I will be using manual lenses on my old EOS. I'm waiting for the adaptor for the M42 lenses.
