Thanks to all the photographers who submitted photos for this special contest. It was my heart felt wish that we stun the DU community with beautiful and somber photos of sacred/inspirational places/spaces. And you all did it!

I have a story to tell, too, about one of the photos. CurtEastPoint and I both happened to be in France--in the same city--at the same time in April 2017. We met for lunch in Strasbourg. Both of us happened to later explore--independently--a little village in the area. I saw his photo, which was titled First, work in the vineyard, then come rest and talk to your creator. and it put my shots of the same subject to shame. I admit to encouraging him to enter this particular shot. He really captured the essence of what I had in mind--because I'd been there and seen it myself--when I chose the theme for the contest.
