I find that anagram interesting in that it suggests the eschatological "abomination that makes desolate" to which Adso's Letter on the Origin and Time of the Antichrist makes reference. I chose my handle at a time when I was studying History in grad school, with an emphasis on Christian and Jewish eschatological beliefs and how they have influenced history in various times and places.

in these shots.

Very different from how the ocean looks on the other side of the US right now!

I remember those green coke bottles!

No hurricanes out here. We get quakes and fires.

I added that part about the coke bottles after it dawned on me that not everyone here might remember them.

The green/yellow is a little too strong on the first one. I have a new laptop, and I'm seeing some difference between my two laptops and my I-phone. I'm looking for a way to determine which is closest.

I've seen that green out here! I do remember coke bottles but not very vividly. Thanks for the history lesson.

And I love your sunset photo. I've seen a lot like that one. Very pretty.

And I too remember coke bottles.

Many years ago we'd walk along the beaches of Lake Superior to pick up "beach" glass. Many beautiful shades.

Glass Beach. A 19th-century dump eroding from the bluffs overlooking the beach washes a lot of broken colored glass bits into the sea. Over time the ocean waves have created the same kinds of beach glass you speak of. Many look like semi-precious stones.
