I was shooting at the texas state capitol last evening. along with my other shots i saw a couple of birds
theres a male and female hawk that have a nest near the top of the dome. they dend to hang out on the top of the star

later in the evening we were walkign around the building when i saw of all things a yellow crowned night heron. It was dark out so i had to crank the iso up to 3200,sneak up as close as i could and use a flash,thats why the photo is so noisy

(15,812 posts)I have a thing for hawks+architecture, or in fact any bird plus modern technology. That is very cool.
I have never even seen a night heron, so that is a treat, too, since I can do it vicariously.
