Another old ad I saw in Manhattan the other day. They looked like ghosts out of Mad Men.

(10,751 posts)...I love old, fading adverts on the sides of buildings. You find them everywhere, from small towns to big cities.

(22,380 posts)Being a sign person, a wall dog (the name for those who letter walls), I have such respect for it. The best and most I've seen in one place was in Victor, Colorado.
I would love to travel across the country and do a whole book on them, photographically speaking. But then, I'm sure, it's been done.
Wonderful photograph, imo enhanced by the choice of black and white.

(1,977 posts)They were - don't know if anyone still uses them - little clip type things that women used to hold hair in place. A woman's hair cut or style sometimes called a bob - hence bob or bobby pins.
