It now emerges that there is a story behind the Leica camera that is much more impressive than the camera itself:
The Leitz family’s efforts to save Jews in Germany. And why was the story was not told untill now? The Leitz famly wanted no publicity for its efforts. Very impressive. Leica’s take amazing photos — even in the hands of amateurs like myself.

But the book behind the camera is even better.

Another Schindler ... I wonder how many more there were. Just as with America's underground railroad, it was just not the leaders, but everyone involved, put all on the line.
