3. I'm so sorry, my dear 634-5789!

I lived in Evanston till I was 8, so I do have some small memory of the winters!

It's better out here.

5. Thanks so much, my dear Ohiogal!

It's a flowering ornamental pear tree! They bloom like crazy every year, at about this time.

We're not exactly real warm these days, but compared to most of the country, we are! It's getting into the low '60's, with nights in the 40's.

When there's no wind, I can go out without a jacket, which is a plus!

6. Oh, dear rsdsharp! That doesn't sound like spring to me either!

That sounds inhuman.

Even though our temperatures aren't that low, it's not spring here either. These trees bloom in the winter, every year.

8. Ooooh, not here in N TX either.

Will snow all day tomorrow with temps in the low single digits Monday and Tuesday.

That's cold even for here! And the snow will actually last awhile as high temps won't get above freezing for the next 10 days which is as far as my forecast goes.

At least I may get the rare Texas snow pictures!

We can have icy conditions too, only further away from the ocean than here.

my best friend and would have missed this whole storm!!

It won't last forever; it just feels like it.

14. Oh you are such a tease Peggy! hahahahahaha

We are in the middle of a deep freeze, although it's one above (feels balmy) the feel like temp is -15. Just threw a couple logs in the fireplace and will hunker down for the evening!

Oh, your photo is really nice. Now I know what green looks like!

15. Omigod, my dear Callalily!

Please forgive me for my lousy timing with this photo........

I had honestly forgotten that most of the country is suffering under extremely inclement weather. I truly did not mean to rub your (or anyone's) nose in the fact that it's nice here today, in California.

Glad you liked the photo!

16. Um, no. It's -5 F with -35 wind chill.

Everything is covered in snow and ice; the color green does not exist in my universe.

Spring will not arrive in Minnesota for some months.

I am sorry that it won't.
