The Star Wars Exhibit

The Star Wars Exhibit was here in Wichita for a couple months. I went 3 times and took about 500 pics. Here's a few of various models and costumes.

The cockpit of the Rebel Blockade Runner has a very tiny Playboy pinup on the wall.

The engines of a Star Destroyer were made from 'Leggs containers.

In the landspeeder miniature (used for some long shots), both Obi-Wan and Luke are Six Million Dollar Man dolls.

See if you can find the "Champion" Spark Plug decal on The Millennium Falcon.

Princess Leia's costume from Ep. 4, R2-D2 from Eps. 4-6 and C-3PO from Ep. 3

The gold plating on Threepio is beginning to flake off in spots.

Luke's not wearing any pants, Obi-Wan and Threepio have no legs.

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney

If you're a Star wars fan and this traveling exhibition comes near you, it's worth the trip. The model of The Millennium Falcon is just incredible. I'd say the bulk of my pictures are of it.
