I remember as a kid noticing the way the light would change going through the venetian blinds in my room, right about the time school started. Every year, it happened like clockwork. I knew summer was gone and I needed to prepare myself for the start of a new school year.

I sort of gasped when I looked at this because it brought that feeling back again.

Believe me, it has been a long time!

In two weeks I am going back to college - a paralegal certification course that will hopefully help me land a job. The last time I was in school was WAY TOO LONG AGO

There is just something about the quality of the light this time of year that I have always loved.

I'm happy for you!

Honestly what I specifically remember was that the light that shined through the venetian blinds landed on the wall differently. Specific patterns that were created became different shapes and colors. The light seemed to become more orange, and shafts of light that had become circles on the wall became more elongated. Time for a new teacher! No more swimming for awhile! All this was and remains all mushed together in my mind.
