A perfect example of "The best camera is the one you have with you", was walking back from the library and this popped up.
An iPhone shot with 645Pro, one of the only apps that let you shoot a TIFF file as close to Raw as you are going to get on a phone, edited with Nik Snapseed app and platinum toned with Photo Copier app.

(4,483 posts)I'm a bit of a fan of platinum prints, in fact the next series I'm working on I'll process the image digitally but go back to the darkroom for printing, you simply can't get the same depth and richness out of a printer.

(15,812 posts)What are the steps you take to go from a digital image to the darkroom?

(4,483 posts)First you edit your photo making whatever corrections you need to make then you convert to black and white, after that you need to apply a curve that corrects for the type of wet process you are using then make the image negative. You print the image on transparency film and then you contact print the transparency and develop the print.
That's the short version, lol.

(15,812 posts)This is the key--printing it on a transparency film--duh, I wasn't even thinking about that!
Is this something you figured out on your own, or is it taught?

If you are in the NYC area The Center for Alternative Photography has classes on digital negatives along with classes on all sorts of old processes.
